Team Botswana will be coming to D.C.! Five Batswana high school students will be coming to the United States this July 16-18 to compete in the inaugural International Robot Olympics. These students come from Ramotswa, a village just south of Gaborone. They are joined by their adult mentor, Mrs Gaone Karabo, who works as a Senior Teacher of Computer Studies in Kagiso Senior Secondary School. They have been learning about programming and engineering over the past few months, and building a robot that will compete in the games. We are very happy to welcome them to the United States, and would love to see the local Batswana community come out to cheer on the team during the opening ceremony, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm the night of July 16 at Constitution Hall .
